Where Imagination Meets Design
Although skilled in various forms of graphic design, illustration is "my thing", especially character design. Mostly inspired by Slavic and Nordic mythology, BUT not related to those topics only. In fact, my art could be described as a mix of elegance, tenderness, detailed and dynamic forms, well-balanced contrasts between modern and traditional, escapism, and social engagement.
About
I am a Belgrade-based illustrator and graphic designer proud caregiver of one tabby cat, inspired by all things magical, strange, and slightly mystical. My first drawings combined the imagination of a five-year-old child and Bosnian war reality. The images of thousands of refugees that I watched on television as a child left a great impression on me. To cope with the turbulent reality of living in Serbia, I felt the urge to be involved and to help. As a result, I finished my bachelor's and master's studies at the Faculty of Political Science in Belgrade. I became a part of organizations providing support to refugees and displaced persons.
I returned to drawing spontaneously, determined not just to perfect myself in various forms of graphic design and define my style, but to combine both occupations, social work, and illustration, to the fullest. In the field of child protection, from 2014 until today, I have been involved in various artistic and empowering activities, also designing visual content related to the different socially engaged topics relevant in Serbia nowadays. The variety of projects I have worked on ranges from the design of advertising, printed and electronic material for social campaigns, through illustrations and covers of books and magazines, all the way to line illustrations on paper.
